Jenny Hval (b. 1980) is a writer, musician and sound artist. She made her literary debut with the novel The Pearl Brewery in 2009, and followed up with Sings with Her Eyes in 2012, and then Girls against God in 2018.
Her books have been translated into 9 languages. Hval has released numerous acclaimed albums, including Apocalypse Girl (2015), Blood Bitch (2016), The Practice of Love (2019) and Iris Silver Mist (2025).
