You Will Feel a Little Prick
Everything has gone smoothly for Hanne so far in life. She has cashed in her good grades from secondary school for six years at medical school. She has bright prospects, good intentions and an oversized white coat, but it turns out to be a long way from the reading room to the emergency room. It can’t possibly last.
There is nothing more vigilant than being a real doctor. On good days you save lives, but death comes just as often. Hanne tries hard to be a good doctor, while she maneuvers between late shifts, the furious relatives of her patients and an overwhelming fear of making mistakes. Then the one thing that must never happen, happens. Hanne’s world collapses, and she begins to doubt her own worth both with and without the stethoscope around her neck.
You Will Feel a Little Prick is a story about guilt, punishment and reconciliation – and about meeting the right person in life.
