Geir Brevik arrives in Oslo to take up a teacher’s position shortly after graduating. He reconnects with an old class mate and is introduced to Oslo’s student circles as well as to two female friends of his former class mate: On is beautiful, well-dressed and confident, the other is pale and uncharismatic. Through a love triangle that borders on an identity experiment, the books is a study in games and roles.
