Uglybugly
Earl and Betty are Siamese twins. They have tried to make a living as circus artists and freaks, but are constantly being excluded by the other performers. The twins are too weird, even for other freaks. Besides, Earl is not humble enough, he dreams of making it big, and is getting tired of his religious sister. Between them, they have a third hand which neither of them can control. Uglybugly is a burlesque fable and a novel about physical and social degradation. In a strange and opposing way, this is also a novel about human dignity.
