Froyd runs the house in Urskogen 13 together with his older brother Terje Eddipus and younger sister Eva, while their father Vulgaris, a ship captain, travels the seven seas. One day their father returns with a stepmother for the kids, Demona de Sjavy. She shakes up the family dynamics, and soon everybody is forced to accommodate to her shifting moods.
