Tord has received money for his birthday and is very happy. But then he discovers that his cuddly toy dog, Pelle, has disappeared. Right afterwards he receives a threatening letter saying that he will have to hand over all his money if he wants to see Pelle again. Sunniva, his sister, joins in the search, which soon turns out to be both scary and exciting. And is Sunniva as innocent as she seems?
