We are in Bodø, in northern Norway, in 1987. Eleven-year-old Stian is waiting with his little sister Sara for their father to return from a course he has been attending in Oslo. But Daddy doesn’t turn up. Mother sits drinking one glass of wine after another and stays up late into the night, phoning people and insisting that she isn’t embittered. Stian finds her behaviour disgusting. He wants to go to his father. Once he finds Daddy, everything will be ok.
Daddys disappearance is clearly a matter for the Black Eagle Detective Club, but Stian’s sidekick Lars prefers to listen to Samantha Fox and party with the girls in their class at school.
No One Can Stop Me Now is a childhood story written for adults.
