Ambar is happily married to her Omar. The couple lives with his family in Lahore in Pakistan, and one day they make a visit to Dubai. While Ambar is in another room, Omar is brutally attacked and killed. Ambar finds herself in an extremely difficult situation, but manages to call home to Norway. At first she is suspected of being behind the attack, but the police eventually realise that something else must have happened. Is it a petty robbery, or is there something bigger behind this? What has Omar really been up to?

Mahmona Khan is the author of, among others, the young adult novel Dirty Snow, which provoked a great deal of attention when it was published in 2010. From Oslo to Lahore is an independent sequel, where Khan follows the four girls further.
