In Attempt to Move at the Speed of Dark we meet the driver of a Porsche 911 Carrera, bludgeoned to death and ditched in a manure pit; the bereaved man who has left the lights of the city for a snow-covered existence in an anonymous suburb; an office worker who night after night sits behind a mirrored glass window, examining the terrified reactions of passers-by to their own mirror-image. Common to them all is the dark desire to dissolve into nothing.
