Since her debut in 1983, Vigdis Hjorth (b. 1959) has published more than 30 books. Her hugely successful novel Wills and Testament (2016) won both the Critics’ Prize and the Booksellers’ Prize, and was nominated for the Nordic Council Literature Prize. She has also won the Dobloug Prize, the Gyldendal Prize, the Aschehoug Prize and the Cappelen Prize.
