Sigurd Hverven (b. 1991) holds a PhD in philosophy from NTNU in Trondheim. He was awarded the Georg Morgenstierne Prize for outstanding achievement in the master’s program in philosophy at the University of Oslo. He works full-time as a freelance writer, lecturer, and independent academic. In 2024 and 2025, he received the State Artist Grant for Young Non-Fiction Writers. His latest book is the critically acclaimed Hegel: A Fairly Simple Book About a Difficult Philosopher (2024).
