Øystein Wiik
Operasinger Øystein Wiik (b. 1956) is world known for his amazing voice and has participated in a number of records and performances. He has written and produced several musicals, including “Sophie’s World”, based on Jostein Gaarder’s world famous novel.
In 2010 he made his debut as a writer with Deadly applause, a thriller from the operascene, presenting his James Bond-ish protagonist Tom Hartmann. The novel was nominated for the most prestigious Norwegian award in its genre, The Riverton Crime Prize and translated to German, Danish and Dutch. His follow-up novel The Butcher confirmed his talent for thrillers, and by the third and forth novels, Wiik has established himself as one of the important contemporary Norwegians crime writers.
