Marita Fossum (b. 1964) made her debut in 2002 with the novel The World Outside. In 2005, she was awarded the Tanum Scholarship for Women. She also became the winner of the 2005 Brage Prize for Best Norwegian Novel for Imagine. For her novel Dear Shepherd Boy (2006) she received the Booksellers’ Author’s Grant.
