Kari J. Spjeldnæs (b. 1966) is Publishing Director at Aschehoug Publishing House, Oslo. She has an M. Phil. in Literature and has been working in the book industry for more than thirty years. She is married to Thomas Hylland Eriksen, Professor of social anthropology and author of many books. They have two adult children.
