Johnsrud nominated for the Riverton Prize, wins the Silver Knife
01.03.2024
Congratulations to Ingar Johnsrud whose acclaimed thriller PATRIOTS has been nominated for the prestigious Riverton Prize, Norway’s most important crime fiction award. The nomination comes shortly after the book won the Silver Dagger Award. The other nominees for the prize are Karin Fossum, Jørn Lier Horst/Thomas Enger, Anne Holt and Nikolaj Frobenius.
“Johnsrud isn’t sting in his use of artistic effects in this well-composed and extremely thrilling ‘doomsday saga.’ … [Patriots can quickly make you] lose your night’s sleep, hope, voice, become a full-time prepper, and wonder where in the world decency and credibility went among people with money, power, and political lobby connections”
– The Riverton Jury’s nomination statement
“An entertaining and conspiratorial thriller on an international level, and entirely on par with authors like Lee Child and Tom Clancy… The novel doesn’t have a single dull moment, and with this book, Johnsrud delivers some of the most credible we have read within Norwegian thrillers this decade”
